The music and image of Kraftwerk. The music of Kraftwerk was very electronic. He was making the blueprint for the start of electronic music. The group’s music was described as robot pop. The music was rhythmic threw electric means. The 1974 album Autobahn was the first Kraftwerk to be released in the United States. This album, Autobahn was an international smash. With this album they reached the upper rungs of the pop chart. In 1975 Kraftwerk resurfaced with Radio Activity. Radio activity was a concept album exploring the theme of radio communication. The next year came Trains Travel and 1978 brought along The Man Machine. After this album they disappeared, re-entering into the music world in 1981 with Computer world. Some characteristics of Kraftwerks music that makes them one of the most influential bands in the electric pop music are that fact that they started the electrical music sensation. Their albums were all concepts. Their Autobahn is about the road and driving on the world famous Highway, the Autobahn. Another example is their album Trans Europe express. The Trans Europe Express is about train travel and European connectivity. Kraftwerk has influenced many bands, Being the pioneers of electrical music they hit the world with a sound know one had ever heard before. The struck the ears of many bands. On of the bands that have taken a lot of inspiration from Kraftwerk was Karlheinz Stockhausen. Also another band that embraced this new sound was Elektric Music. The impression I got from listening to Kraftwerk was a fun heart pumping emotion. I do not listen to electronic music that often but I found it very fun to listen to when I was doing my homework. It amazed me that someone would be able to create all this music and have it all be electric. I enjoyed listening to Kraftwerk.
